“Hollow ” French pricking irons from Pro Atelier Plus, London, U.K.
Made of Japanese Hitachi steel with hand polished teeth which makes it possible to pierce and pull out of the leather very easily.
Available in regular and/or reverse stitch. The reverse stitch is normally used for box stitching and/or by left-handed craftsmen.

In addition to the stitch lengths we have in stock, we can also manufacture made-to-measure stitches. Please contact us for delivery times for this type of order.
A high quality tool that should not be missed!

Description

The hollow design of the handle moves down the center of gravity
of the tool, making it more stable when punching, and it is
particularly easy to pull out the pricking iron. These irons pierce the
leather all the way through and create a hole to stitch through.
Also available inverted version
Subsequent treatment process:
Vacuum Heat Treatment: Compared with ordinary heat treatment,
vacuum heat treatment has stronger stability and less deformation.
Liquid Nitrogen(The cryogenic process): makes the crystal more
uniform.
We recommend using the OKA Cutting Board with our Pricking Hollows.
Made in 440c stainless steel: High-carbon, high-chromium stainless
steel by Hitachi Japan, excellent rust resistance, high hardness, wear
resistance, and toughness.

1 review for 6mm Hollow French Pricking Irons SINGLE UNITS

  1. Christoph Zengerling (verified owner)

I really love these pricking irons. They go in and out of the leather very smooth, the handling is great and they are very well finished. The holes are quite small and perfect for fine seams with fine thread, but also thicker threads are not a problem if you wide the wholes a bit with an awl. Looking forward for my next set with another spacing.
