Sharing knowledge is at the heart of craftsmanship
Every craft survives because knowledge is passed from one generation to the next.
For me, leatherworking is not only about creating beautiful pieces or designing high-quality tools—it is also about teaching, learning and sharing experiences with fellow artisans around the world.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of collaborating with international leathercraft events, professional workshops, educational institutions and specialist publications, always with the same goal: helping the leatherworking community grow through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
Whether teaching a class, demonstrating a technique, writing an article or speaking with artisans at an event, every opportunity to share knowledge is also an opportunity to continue learning.

International Events & Collaborations
Over the years, I have collaborated with leading organisations and events dedicated to leathercraft, craftsmanship and professional education.
These collaborations have included educational workshops, technical demonstrations, lectures, articles, product presentations and professional exchanges with leatherworkers from many different countries.
Some of the organisations and events I have had the pleasure of collaborating with include:
-
European Leather Workers & Artists Trade Show – ELWATS (The Netherlands)
-
Leather Crafters & Saddlers Journal (US)
-
La Gaceta de la Lezna (Spain)
-
Leder Detmer (Germany)
-
Jornadas de los Oficios del Cuero (Spain)
-
Jürgen Volbach Workshop (Germany)
-
Jornadas del Cuero (Asturias, Spain)
These experiences have allowed me to exchange ideas with some of the finest leather artisans, tool makers and educators in the industry, continually expanding my own knowledge while contributing to the international leathercraft community.
“Knowledge should be shared to help the entire leatherworking community grow and thrive together.”.
Isaac Romero.

Leather Artisan Lab was founded in 2021 with a simple mission:
To provide today’s and tomorrow’s leather artisans with tools worthy of their craftsmanship.
Our philosophy is straightforward.
We don’t choose tools from a catalogue—we select, design, test and refine them through real workshop experience and continuous collaboration with professional leatherworkers.
Many of the tools we offer have been evaluated, demonstrated and improved through years of interaction with artisans, instructors and makers during workshops, trade shows and professional events.
This close relationship with the leathercraft community allows us to understand what artisans truly need and to continue improving our products with every new experience.
Leather Artisan Lab is more than a tool supplier.
It is a meeting point between craftsmanship, education and innovation.
Our goal is not only to supply exceptional tools, but also to contribute to the growth of the leatherworking community by sharing knowledge, supporting artisans and promoting excellence in leathercraft.
We firmly believe that better artisans build a stronger community—and better tools help make better artisans.
Leather Artisan Lab as a company, and Isaac Romero as an artisan, seek to provide the tools and knowledge to grow the leather family.
Equip today’s and tomorrow’s leather artisans with the tools they deserve.
