Tokonole is a waterbased japanese agent/product which smoothes the flesh side of leather. Tokonole is a great substitute for Tragant. Simply apply a generous amount to the flesh side or edge of your leather goods, spread evenly then firmly work into the leather with a glass slicker, smooth wooden burnisher or scrap piece leather or our edge burnishing canvas, reapply as necessary to leather and leave to dry. The fibres on the flesh side of your leather will be compacted and a glossy finish will appear leaving the flesh side of your leather so smooth and attractive it won’t even need any lining! Also excellent for burnishing edges. Tokonole is only made from natural waxes. It’s easy to work with No unpleasant odor. Irritant-free. Non-toxic. Environmentally friendly For polishing the edges. Binds leather fibers on the flesh side. Dries quickly. This burnishing gum is what you’ve been looking for, for years!

A must for any leather crafter. It closes the edges after burnishing with a little water or dye. You don’t have to apply much on the edges to get a really nice shine. The neutral can be generically used for any leather, color or dye. Brown and black are for obvious specific colors but also very good to apply on the flesh side to stiffen it or flatten out the”meat threads”.
