I’m Isaac Romero, a leather craftsman with over 25 years of experience.
I began my journey as a self-taught hobbyist, driven by a passion for leatherworking. Over time, I formalized my skills at the Córdoba Arts & Crafts School. Upon completing my studies, I transitioned to full-time leatherwork in 2003.

After a decade of honing my craft, I sought further specialization and pursued a Leather Design Master’s Degree, offered by the Loewe Foundation in partnership with Madrid Polytechnic University and the Leather Technology Center in Ubrique, Cádiz, Spain.

For many years, I have combined my work as a leather craftsman with training and promoting the craft by teaching courses at various leather events, including:

• Asturian Leather Days (Ciaño, Asturias, Spain)

• Jornadas de los Oficios del Cuero (Allariz, Ourense, Spain)

• Leder Detmer (Hamburg, Germany)

• ELWATS – European Leather Workers and Artists Trade Show (Arnhem, The Netherlands)

• Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show (Sheridan, Wyoming, USA)

• Southwest Leather Trade Show (Prescott, Arizona, USA)

Leather Artisan Lab was born out of the need to find high-quality tools and supplies that were often hard to come by. Every item offered by Leather Artisan Lab has been personally tested and is something I use daily in my workshop.

I hope to create a space for leather craftsmanship where, through shared knowledge, we can all strive for excellence in the art of leather-working.
