Description
Cast from high-strength 3Cr13 stainless steel, the main body is heat-treated to HRC50, which means it has high hardness and good toughness. There is a spring at the intersection of the pliers and the handle is ergonomically shaped, so you won’t feel tired even after working for a long time.
A disassembled structure of the main body enables parts to be replaced and maintenance can also be performed.
There will be a free cardboard pattern included for a custom leather wrapping handle. Leather is not included. We recommend skiving down the leather to 1.5mm.
Specifications:
Material: 3CR13 Stainless Steel
Hardness treatment: HRC50+, 2 tempering (refine crystals to improve toughness)
Jaw width: 28~30mm / 40~45mm
Opening angle: ~ 16 degrees
Clamping range: keep the jaws parallel when clamping 3.5mm steel plates (Because the leather is elastic, it means that the leather within 4.5~5mm can be well gripped)
Finishing: Stonewashed and/or Silver
Special structure: a set of ceramic ball bearings, a coil spring
About the material:
As a stainless steel with a high carbon content, 3Cr13 has high strength, hardness, and wear resistance. These qualities also ensure toughness, which is why outdoor knives, tools, molds and other products that require high strength are often made from it. After heat treatment, it reaches HRC 50+.
